Zahid Ali Khan Editor Siasat and TDP Politburo member addressed a large gathering of Muslims at Kamareddy last night and vowed that he would stop Mr. Chandrababu Naidu from taking any anti-Muslim action in future because Mr. Naidu has admitted the past mistakes. As a Muslim, it is our duty to forgive if anybody seeks pardon realizing his mistakes. Mr. Naidu must have committed some mistakes in the past but Mr. Zahid Ali Khan said that he was not there. In my presence, he said if he commits any mistakes, I have the strength to stop him from doing so. He further told that in case TDP comes back to power, he would try to get reservations for the Muslims according to their population which is 9.3% in the state.
Citing the example of the results of UP election, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan told that in future only the regional parties will come into power and Congress party will be vanished. Muslims have played a major role in bringing Mulayam Singh Yadav to power.
Muslims had ruled this country for 800 years but now the situation has changed. Quoting the example of the representation of the Muslims in the civil services, he told that there was a time when there used to be 50% Muslims in Indian Administrative Services. Now it is almost negligible.
Referring to the income Wakf properties, he said that if Wakf properties were managed properly, the financial condition of the Muslims would be improved.
He told that the land where airport has been constructed belongs to Wakf Board. If 50% of the income derived from the airport is given to the Muslims, the economic backwardness of the Muslims would be eradicated. Referring to Telangana Movement, he said that people are being misled. TDP Supremo is serious about the Telangana issue. He has declared that he is not apposed to Telangana.
He said the Andhra and Telangana are the two eyes of Mr. Naidu. Even if the state if bifurcated, TDP will be in power in both the regions.
Mr. Ali Masquati appealed to the people to cast their votes in favour of TDP candidates. He further told that Mr. Ibrahim Bin Abdullah Masquati, MLC had sanction ed Rs.25 Lakh for the development work in Kamareddy.
State Secretary Mr. S.A. Aleem requested the electorate to vote TDP candidate Mr. Venugopal Rao from Kamareddy.
