Voters can SMS complaints on code violations

State Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal today said voters can lodge complaints through SMS about violation of Model Code of Conduct(MCC) in seven assembly constituencies where by-polls will be held on March 18. Addressing a press conference here, he said in respect of seven assembly segments that anyone can send their complaints pertaining violation of the Code of Conduct through SMS mentioning the place where such incidents take place along with the district name.

The SMS should be sent to 7382621251, 7382621252, 7382621253, 7382621254, 7382621255. The message will be transmitting to the concerned constituency or district officers for immediate action, including raids by the mobile squads and checking of the vehicles, he said. The identity of the sender will be kept confidential, he said the Elelction Commission has also introduced a facility for voters to know their respective polling stations in the seven assembly segments. Voters can utilise the facility by sending SMS to mobile no.8978973452 by tping EPIC followed by space and EPIC No (voter identification card number) to know the polling station where they can exercise their franchise, he said.
