Madurai, April 07: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi tonight urged the people to vote DMK alliance to power to ensure continuation of a “good governance” the state, which goes to polls in April 13.
Addressing a huge election rally here, he listed various developmental activities initiated by his government during the last five years, including construction of the High Court bench here.
The projects undertaken and completed by the DMK government was an example of its “good governance” and its concern for the people, he said.
In a veiled attack on AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa and MDMK leader Vijayakanth, Karunanidhi said, “Those who saw prisons only in cinema shootings cannot be successful like those who sacrificed their life for the people and for the language.”
He recalled how he suffered hack injuries while hoisting DMK flags as part of the programme to develop the party in Madurai.
Quoting the proverb ”those who are tolerant and patient would rule the world”, he said, “Patience is my main quality…Whether DMK remains in power or not, it will always work for Tamil people, state and the language.”
