New Delhi [India]: India’s second-largest telco Vodafone has announced its partnership with infrastructure firm GMR to create the country’s largest Wi-Fi hotspot at the Delhi international airport.
In a recent announcement made on Tuesday, the Vodafone said that high-speed Wi-Fi services will be made available at both terminals of the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi.
The service will be open for fliers after over three months of tests. More than one lakh inbound and outbound travelers use the IGI airport every day.
“With customer needs evolving from voice to data, Wi-Fi is an effective technology to provide seamless connectivity to a large group of consumers in a defined space,” said Director-commercial at Vodafone India, Sandeep Kataria.
With this initiative, Vodafone subscribers will get 1GB free Wi-Fi on a recharge of 1GB and 2GB, 3G or 4G pack that can be used at Wi-Fi zone at the IGI airport or any other Wi-Fi zone powered by Vodafone. (ANI)
