Vizag new favourite for Telang ana realtors

Vishakapatnam, March 17: Even as agitations for a separate Telangana are continuing, investors and realtors from Telangana region are busy eying the Andhra pie to buy lands and reap future profits.

In the recent times investors belonging to Ranga Reddy, Medak, Karimnagar and Warangal districts are paying frequent visits to Visakhapatnam to dig realty information with the help of close friends and associates here. As industrialisation is in full swing in the region including the IT-SEZ, the region has emerged as the new favourite for realtors.

Recently, a group of people visited Bheemili and Anandapuram areas to hold talks with the real estate and land brokers in the region. “People from Telangana region are visiting and asking for information about the land here. They are showing interest in large plots, especially those above 20 acres in this area,” KN Patrudu, a land broker of Anandapuram mandal said. It is not only land that is fascinating the T investors, they are also looking at options to invest money in industries as well as buy shares in companies.

“A five-member team paid a visit to the city to invest huge amounts in the pharma sector in this region. They held primary discussions and collected related data about the sector,” an assistant general manager of a pharma company said.

Talking about their investment proposals here, Lakshmikantha Reddy from Medak said that people from Telangana region investing money in Andhra region is not news anymore. “Separate statehood wish is the right of every person of Telangana. The issue is different and business transactions are different. Thousands of Seemandhra people were involved in several businesses in Telangana so how does it differ if we come to invest in Andhra region,” Reddy questioned.

“We have a long-term business relation with the Telangana investors and we are also friends. Telangana sentiment is in their own interest and business is different,” a real estate businessman Kalidindi Buchhi Raju said. Raju, who hails from East Godavari district visited Visakhapatnam and Viziangaram along with investors from Telangana recently.
