Vivo Apex 2019 is an all-glass phone no front camera, and zero buttons

Dongguan: Buttons are a distraction. At least, that is what Vivo thought while designing its latest concept phone Apex 2019. As a concept phone, the practicality of the smartphone remains to be seen in the modern age of excessive wear and tear.

One of the most fascinating, perhaps also upsetting things about the Apex 2019 is that it lacks a selfie camera. In a bid to make it a zero-distraction phone, Vivo skipped on punching a hole or slot on the front.

At the MWC 2018, Vivo showcased the first working model with on-display fingerprint technology, this year, the company appears to be taking a level ahead with a full-screen fingerprint scanning support.

In terms of specifications, the Vivo Apex 2019 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC with an unspecified 5G modem, 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, a dual-camera setup of 12-megapixel + 13-megapixel on the back, and a magnetic port for charging, Engadget reported.

The Apex 2019 is a concept 5G phone which is expected to be showcased at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
