Former chief minister late Dr YSR’s brother and former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy has faced embarrassing moments at the Chanchalguda jail here.
On Wednesday, Vivekananda Reddy went to Chanchalguda jail to meet his brother’s son and YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was in the jail in the ill-gotten money case. The jail officials have refused to permit him for ‘Mulaqath’ with Jagan.
Irate Vivekananda Reddy squatted in front of the jail and alleged that the State Government was behaving in a vengeful manner against YSR family. He alleged that the jail officials have not allowed him intentionally, to meet Jagan. He demanded the jail officials to allow him to meet Jagan.
He alleged that the jail officials behavior shows that they were yielding to the pressures of the State Government. He said that Jagan will come out of jail as a clean ‘muthyam’. He said that it was not correct to the Government to take revenge against a single person in such a manner. He said that Jagan had the blessings and support of the people.
It may be mentioned here that Vivekananda Reddy had come to the jail for the second time. Earlier, he came to jail and got Mulaqath’, but surprisingly rumors spread that Jagan was not inclined to talk to his uncle.
The Chanchalguda jail officials have said that they have not allowed Vivekananda Reddy as the prescribed mulaqaths were over in case of Jagan. Earlier, the jail officials also refused Jagan’s wife Bharathi Reddy, stating that Jagan’s mulaqaths were over. (NSS)
