New Delhi, September 25: Telangana Congress MPs Madhu Yashki and G Vivek on Saturday held a meeting with Congress Core Committee member A K Antony and briefed him about the prevailing situation in the Telangana region.
According to sources, the MPs informed A K Antony over the impact of employees’ general strike and Rail Roko and appealed him to present the factual position about Telangana agitation to party High Command. He has been requested to prevail upon the High Command to take an early and favourable decision on Telangana State.
Later, talking to media Vivek said that A K Antony has assured that he would try his best to prevail upon high command to take positive decision on Telangana state. He said that they have asked him to stock of the situation prevailing in all 10 Telangana districts after the general strike began on September 13. He said the surveys conducted on Telangana by various successive governments have been submitted as proof to Antony. He said the Congress MPs would meet Antony once again on Monday.
