Former minister Y S Vivekananda Reddy has expressed displeasure over some Congress leaders targeting former chief minister and his brother Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
Vivekananda Reddy on Tuesday a lodged a complaint with Union Minister and Congress observer Vayalar Ravi over the issue. Later, talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Vivekananda Reddy said that he has explained to Ravi over the targeting of YSR and controversy over using his photograph in the by-elections would send wrong signals among the people. He said that the recent debacle of party in the by-elections was due to indiscriminate targeting of YSR and not taking government schemes and programmes before the doorsteps of people properly.
Vivekananda said that Ravi assured him that he would take steps for making Congress High Command stand clear on the legacy of YSR and using his photo in the by-elections. Despite his death, Ravi said that YSR belonged to Congress. Targeting of YSR will not be good for party in the by-elections. (INN)
