Mumbai, January 14: Vivek Oberoi’s parents have started bride hunting. We hear that Vivek, like a seedha-saadha bacchha, is willingly sitting through ‘meetings’ with prospective brides and in-laws. Sources say that Vivek is even scanning pictures of prospective brides to shortlist whom to meet.
The actor’s parents have started ‘bahu hunting’ for him.
“My mother so wants me to get hitched, it’s not funny. It’s become an everyday affair to either see pictures of girls or suddenly get dragged into home visits that will have the girl and their parents sitting there. I have told them that I don’t want to marry now but they think otherwise. They have started conning me into seeing girls…imagine!” Vivek chuckles.
Ask Vivek if the sound of wedding bells gets him tensed and he goes, “Of course I am. I mean it’s (the experience) so new and unexpected that I don’t know how to react. My focus is entirely on my career and I don’t think I’m going to say ‘I Do’ so soon. I’m coming back into the foray in a big way and I want to establish myself now. Wedding is a big thing to happen to anyone and I completely believe in the institution of marriage. But I feel it can wait.”
The actor also told us about the kind of girls that attract his attention. “I like girls who are themselves in front of me and are not putting up an act. I like girls who are sensitive and feel for others. I like girls who are very respectful to elders. They need to speak really well and I think that is one quality that sets everybody apart. She should also look to live life, do new things. She should also like stuff that I enjoy doing. The girl who fits into that mould would be my ideal girl,” he ends.
