Virginia shooting: 3 injured, gunman dead

Washington D.C.: An unidentified man who opened fire on Virginia State Police trooper at a Greyhound bus station in Richmond, Virginia has died.

According to CNN, the trooper who was shot was rushed to the hospital after he suffered life-threatening injuries.

Two civilians were also transported to the hospital.

The police were alerted to the shots that were fired and around that time, a trooper encountered a male inside the station.

While the two were talking, the man pulled a gun and shot the trooper, following which two troopers standing nearby returned fire.

The suspect was not identified, nor were the three victims.

The Greyhound station was closed and the area remains sealed off.

Police cars were seen blocking the streets fending people off as they yellow taped the area.
