Virender Sehwag hits 21st ton

Sri Lanka, August 05: Blazing Virender Sehwag smashed career’s 21st Test on the third day of final Test against Sri Lanka at P Sara Oval stadium in Colombo on Thursday.

Sehwag completed his ton in just 90 deliveries with 18 fours. The Indian Opener missed a ton in the second Test as he was dismissed fro 99 runs.

Sehwag was also toppled by Sri Lanka skipper Kumara Sangakkara from No.1 Test player in ICC rankings. Sangakkara smashed double hundred in the same match.

Resuming from overnight score of 180/2, India received early jolt as master blaster was dismissed by Lasith Malinga in the very first over of the day. Tendulkar just added one run in his overnight score of 40.

Sehwag was also sentpack by spinner Suraj Randiv after his century. Sehwag scored 109 runs.

India were 200/4 at this moment. VVS Laxman (2) and Suresh Raina (0) were at the middle at this moment. India still trail by 225 runs with 6 wickets remaining in the 1st innings.

Earlier, Sri Lankans were bowled out for 425 runs in the first innings. Samaraweera scored unbeaten 137 runs to take his side past 400 runs.
