Virat Kohli and Tim Paine in a verbal spat, umpire issues a warning: Ind vs Aus

The Indian captain Virat Kohli was seen exchanging words with the Australian captain Tim Paine in the morning session on Day 4 of the second Test in Perth on Monday.

The on-field umpire Chris Gaffaney intervened to warn both the players on the fourth morning of the second Test between India and Australia.

The two captains had clashed on Sunday as well with Paine calling Kohli a “big head” after a jibe from the Indian star. On Day 4, the duo clashed again.

During the 71st over the captains were seen exchanging words after Kohli decided to field close to the non-striker and the umpire had to step in.

Tim Paine was heard saying “You’re the one that lost it yesterday. Why are you trying to be cool today?” Umpire Gaffaney intervened “That’s enough, that’s enough.”

The two captains were up against each other on Day Three of the Test match as well, when a caught-behind appeal against Paine was declined by the umpire. Kohli, while walking Past Paine, said to his teammates, “If he (Paine) messes it up, it’s 2-0,” to which Paine replied, “You’ve got to bat first, big head.”

Australia has set up a 287-run target for India on Day Four of the Test match. India, in reply, has lost some of their crucial wickets including Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara without putting many numbers on the scoreboard.
