‘Viral sach’ exposes PM Modi’s claim of constructing 8,50,000 toilets in Bihar

Motihari: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday praised the State Government, Swachhagrahis and the people of Bihar for the cleanliness drive in the state. He claimed 8,50,000 toilets have been constructed in last one week in the state.”In the last one week, more than 8,50,000 toilets have been constructed in Bihar. This is a great achievement.

I congratulate the people, the ‘Swachhagrahis’ and the State Govt for this,”said PM Modi. During the event PM Modi presented awards to Swachhagrahis for their exemplary work. More than 20,000 Swachhagrahis from across the country were present in the event.

However, former deputy chief minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav does the maths and called it a ‘big goof-up’ by PM. The construction 8.5 lakh toilets in a week equate to 121,428 a day, 5,059 an hour and 84 a minute. 1.4 every second. Many on social media sites were skeptic about PM Modi’s claim.

Former Indian Police Service officer from Gujarat, Sanjiv Bhatt who is known for his role in filing an affidavit in the SC against the then Gujarat CM and now PM, Narendra Modi, concerning his alleged participation in the 2002 Gujarat riots; tweeted a picture with the text “One of the 850,000 toilets that Modi claimed to have been built within 7 days in Bihar. So silly of us to have disbelieved and ridiculed him!”

Adding more humiliation to the Prime Minister’s claim the team of “ABP’s Viral Sach” reached the spots and exposes a different story all together.
