Hyderabad, July 17: Apart from planning to kill top politicians and policemen, Viqaruddin Ahmed alias Viqar plotted the killing of a city-based jeweller who recently hosted top VHP leader Praveen Togadia during his visit to the city.
According to sources, Viqar confessed to have plotted to kill the jeweller, Bhav Sagar, of Borabanda and also to loot his jewellery store to fund his activities.
He also confessed to have taken shelter in Shaheen Nagar after the shoot-out at IS Sadan.
Similarly, he claimed that he stayed at Musheerabad after the recent shoot-out at Shalibanda in which an APSP constable was killed, which surprised the investigators.
Viqar also told the investigators that he had visited Oman once but never gone to Pakistan.
