On the occasion of Eid Miladunnabi a Muslim youth, Mohammed Pasha, resident of Singareni Colony was fixing the flags in the colony. Srikant objected to it. Pasha slapped at him. After sometime he brought his brother and other friends and on the spot heated discussions took place. They attacked Mohammed Pasha.
On receiving the news, ACP of Malakpet, Mr. Mohammed Iqbal Siddiqui arrested some 14 youths. Among those who were arrested are Ramesh, Sandeep, Srikant, Mohammed Pasha, Syed Javeed, Shaik Irfan, Mohammed Anwar and others. Parents of the arrested youths alleged that police targeted Muslims.
