Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan, M.L.A. and president of Lok Satta told that he is struggling for the cause of farmers. He told that he is prepared to quit his membership of Assembly.
He started his Padayatra from Kurnool on the second day. While talking to newsmen, he said that he would organize many more pedayatras in future to invite the attention of the Govt. on the issues related to farmers.
He demanded the Govt. to lift the ban on the sale of food grains to other states. He questioned the Govt. that how can it violate the regulations of the Central Govt. which has permitted free trade of food grains in the country. He also said that Lok Satta Party will violate the restrictions imposed by the Govt. by sending food grains to the neighboring states. He is prepared to face arrest, if need be. He blamed the Govt. and said that due to bad governance for the past 66 years, the farmers are forced to beg. He asked his party workers to be patient in case he is arrested by the Govt.
