MUMBAI: The veteran Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna died on the same date as closest friend Feroz Khan and of the same disease. Khanna died of bladder cancer at 70 on April 27, 2017.
Khanna passed away on the same date his friend in the film industry legendary actor Feroz Khan died eight years on April 27, 2009 at 69 after battling lung cancer.
Khanna was admitted to Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital, breathed his last at 11.20 AM due to advanced bladder carcinoma.
The two most good looking heroes of their generation Vinod and Feroz played friends in one of their biggest hits, Qurbani (1980), Dayavan (1988), Nayakan, a remake of Mani Ratnam’s cult Tamil classic.
Actor Rishi Kapoor has pointed out a “strange coincidence”. “Friends Vinod Khanna and Feroz Khan die the same day 27th April. Khan sahab passed away 27th April 2009 Bangalore,” Rishi tweeted.

The hospital authorities refused to share the reasons for his demise.
The actor made his acting debut in 1968 with “Man Ka Meet” and is best remembered for his performance in films like “Mere Apne”, “Mera Gaon Mera Desh”, “Amar Akbar Anthony”, “Qurbani”, “Dayavaan” and “Jurm”.
He was last seen in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer “Dilwale” in 2015.
