TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu has opined that villages will be developed only when sarpanches are good and honest leaders.
Addressing TDP regional conference here on Thursday, Chandrababu Naidu said his party was organizing regional conferences to gear up the cadre for the local bodies’ elections. He said his party was working with the main aim to provide good services to the people. He said he came to know about Uttarakhand flood havoc when he was in America.
The former chief minister accused the State government of miserably failing to extend rescue operations. After his return from America, he rushed to Uttarakhand and was shocked on seeing very bad condition situation of the pilgrims in flood-hit areas. Chandrababu Naidu said still some more Telugu pilgrims were missing.
Chandrababu Naidu also addressed a letter to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Foreign Minister Salman Kursheed urging them to initiate steps to bring back the bodies of AP victims to their native places. (NSS)
