(Siasat News) Minister for Renewal Energy Govt. of India informed the Rajya Sabha that Vijayawada and Mahboobnagar Districts have been selected for developing them as Solar city. The purpose of this project is to fulfill energy requirements of these districts. He further informed that a plan has been prepared for spending Rs. 256.60 crore for Vijayawada. He also told that Mahboobnagar Municipality has not yet prepared a similar program for the development of their district.
