Hyderabad, September 14: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) rebel MP Vijayashanti is in for more trouble with unexpected events unfolding against her. The TRS leadership is gearing up to launch a broadside against her.
After allegations that Vijayashanti and her husband Srinivas Prasad’s were involved in Rs 3 crore land scam, the TRS wants to go for her jugular, to settle scores for ditching the party and moving with the Congress leaders.
TRS has already described Vijayashanti as `Telangana Drohi’ (Betrayar of Telangana) and gave a call to the party cadre to chase her in Telangana region whenever she visited them. The party also decided to continue fight against Vijayashanti if necessary in and outside the Parliament.
The TRS leadership views the allegations (published in a section of media) of scam as more or less akin to `Tehelka sting operation,’ after which as many as 12 Lok Sabha members from the Opposition parties were disqualified.
To keep the heat on Vijayashanti, TRS chief who is representing Mahaboobangar in Lok Sabha, has decided to rake up the issue in the House.
TRS programme implementation committee chairman K Prabhakar has demanded that action should be taken against Vijayashanti and her husband for the “corrupt deeds’’ in the allottment of land to the Ordinance Factory Employees’ Society.
Her involvement in land issue vindicate her ulterior motives, the TRS leader said and asked the people to teach her a fitting lesson for betraying the cause of Telangana.
