Medak MP and TRS leader Vijayashanti has lashed out at YSRCP honorary president YS Vijayamma for deciding to take up Deeksha in Sircilla in Karimnagar district on July 23. She asked Vijayamma as to how she suddenly got love towards the Handloom workers.
Speaking to the media here on Saturday, Vijayashanti has said that it was clear that YSRCP was a Samaikyandhra (united AP) party. She advised Vijayamma to act in accordance with the desires and aspirations of the people. She said that the TRS was fighting to get justice to the backward classes people and to Telangana region. She asked Vijayamma as to why she was not taking up Deeksha in Rayalaseema area where the people were facing several problems. She said that Vijayamma was taking up Deeksha in Telangana region only for political gains. She alleged that Vijayamma was not sincere on Telangana issue, and hence the TRS was demanding her to reveal her party’s stand on Telangana issue. She made it clear that TRS party has no objection for Vijayamma taking up Deeksha at Sircilla after revealing their stand on Telangana. She said that the TRS will demand the leaders –whether they may be TDP or YSRCP– to reveal their stand on Telangana issue. She alleged that suicides of Handloom workers in Sircilla were more during Dr YSR’s regime as the latter had failed to fulfill the assurances given to them. She said that several sections of the Telangana people faced problems and subsequently died, due to the discriminatory policies of Samaikyandhra political parties.
She alleged that the YSRCP policy was to say ‘YES’ to Samaikyandhra and hence the TRS was opposing the YSRCP activities in Telangana region. She said that the problems of the Telangana people will be solved only in a separate State. The TRS was trying to solve the problems of the Telangana people, she said. She also said that there was no need for the Samaikyavada parties to take up Deekshas to solve the problems of the Telangana. She alleged that Vijayamma has planned the Deeksha on July 23 only to create violence in Telangana region.
Not a single Telangana person believes Samaikyandhra parties, which were stating that they will solve the problems of the Telangana region, she said. She said that Vijayamma was taking up the Deeksha only to strengthen her party in Telangana region and not out of love on Handloom workers. She warned the YSRCP to own the responsibility if any untoward incident takes place during the Deeksha. She also asked YSRCP leaders as to why they were not saying that they were in favor of Telangana.
Vijayashanthi said that TRS Chief KCR might have confidence that Telangana may be carved out soon, but she has no confidence on the Congress party.
Dubbing the YSR Congress party as Rayalaseema Congress party, Vijayashanthi has said that the TRS will pull the parties, which do injustice to the region. She said that it has become a habit for every new political party to weaken the Telangana movement. “We are not scared of anybody”, she said. She made it clear that the TRS will demand the YSRCP to reveal its stand on Telangana issue, as it did to TDP. “A political party should have a clear stand on every issue”, Vijayashanthi said.
