Vijayasanti accuses Speaker Pocharam of partisan

Hyderabad: TPCC election campaign committee chairperson Vijayasanti on Saturday launched an indirect attack against Speaker of Telangana Assembly Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, alleging that those who occupied the Speaker’s post were acting in a bipartisan manner by succumbing to the pressure from ruling party.

She alleged that former Speaker S Madhusudhana Chari never cared for the defected MLAs of the Congress and TDP during his term despite notices issued by the High Court. She said Madhusudhana Chari would have to answer the questions of the courts. She said the present Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy was appointed as Speaker with the support of Congress party. But he has forgotten the fact that the Congress party played a key role in his unanimous election. She also alleged that Pocharam didn’t show interest to pose for a picture with the Congress leaders when they went to him to lodge a complaint against the defected MLAs.
