As speculated TDP senior leader and former minister K Vijayarama Rao was preparing to join the ruling TRS party.
Vijayarama Rao, who was a former director of CBI before entering politics, today said he is likely to meet Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in a day or two. Meanwhile, TRS minister KTR today went to the residence of Vijayarama Rao and met him. Later he told the media that Vijayarama Rao said he would be happy to involve himself in the development of the State.
After calling on former director of CBI, KTR said democracy would be strengthened if educationists join politics. It is learnt that Vijayarama Rao has sent his resignation letter to TDP on Friday. He sent his resignation letter to TDP head office by fax. (NSS)
