Telangana Rashtra Samiti leader and Siddipet MLA T. Harirsh Rao has said that YSR Congress Party honorary president Y.S. Vijayamma concluded her ‘Deeksha’ at Sircilla within one hour on Monday.
Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, Harish Rao said Vijayamma did not speak about weavers’ problems during her so-called Deeksha. On the other hand, Telangana activists were rounded up during her program across the region. He also slammed Vijayamma for not demanding the government to solve the weavers’ problems. Her visit to Sircilla was purely political.
He also condemned the police raid on Telangana Bhavan. He said that Vijayamma brought Rayalaseema goons with her to Sircilla and made them thrash the women, students and Telangana activists.
He also condemned the police for pulling down Rahim Unnisa from Warangal district from a Jeep top. He demanded that the State government order an inquiry into the incident.
