YSR Congress Party honorary president Y S Vijayamma on Monday said her party was wishing well-being of Telugu people wherever they live.
Addressing a meeting of YSR Congress party members at the party State office here on Tuesday, Vijayamma said YSR Congress Party was born from the people’s heart and party leaders should work for solution of the problems being faced by the common people. The party cadre should mingle with the people and fight for their welfare, she added.
Exhorting party workers to take the welfare schemes launched by late YSR during his regime door to door, Vijayamma asked them to get ready for electoral battle soon courageously. She stressed the need to popularize the welfare schemes, which were assured by YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at plenary meeting.
Pointing out that the situation in the State has worsened in the last four years after sudden demise of late chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Vijayamma said YSR did not impose a single rupee additional tax burden on the people during his regime. Now the people were doubting whether there was a government in the State, she added. She also alleged that the ruling Congress party and the main Opposition TDP have colluded and bifurcated the State for seats and votes. (NSS)
