The YSR Congress party honorary president and Pulivendula MLA Y S Vijayalakshmi and five others were granted permission to meet Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh later in the day.
Vijayamma, MPs Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy (YSRCP), Sabbam Hari (Congress), MLAs Shobha Nagi Reddy, Dharmana Krishna Das, former minister Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and party senior leader Y V Subba Reddy accompanied Vijayamma on her Delhi visit. Vijayamma also proposes to meet other Central leaders during her sojourn in the national capital.
The main purpose of her visit is to complain to the Central leaders that her son Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was being harassed by the CBI at the behest of the Congress leaders. She is also likely to submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister on the problems being faced by the farmers, including power shortage, non-availability of seed and fertilizers. (NSS)
