Jagati Publications vice-chairman and Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s confidant Vijaya Sai Reddy has filed a defamation suit against TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, Eenadu group Chairman Ch. Ramoji Rao and Leader of the Opposition in the Council Dadi Veerabhadra Rao. He pleaded with the court to take criminal action against the trio for making baseless charges against him.
Vijaya Sai Reddy filed the defamation case for the poster the TDP had brought out, making some allegations against him. In his petition, he stated that he was suing the TDP leader Dadi Veerabhadra Rao for releasing the poster and Ramoji Rao for publishing it. He urged the court to register cases against them under Sections 499 and 500 IPC.
It may be recalled that Dadi had released the poster in which it was alleged that there were 2.75 lakh acres of land under YSR’s family. He also made some serious allegations against auditor Vijaya Sai Reddy. He had also released a list of persons who were allotted these lands and alleged that Jagan would be getting an income of Rs 16 lakh crores through these lands in 15 years. (NSS)
