The seventh and final phase of land distribution among poor and landless will be completed by December end, according to Revenue Minister, N Raghuveera Reddy.
Talking to reporters at Secretariat here today, Raghuveera said some 1.25 lakh acres of land will be given to the landless and poor and help them make a livelihood. As Ministers, MLAs and MLCs will attend the next session of Assembly beginning from January 3, it was decided to wind up the process early. The officials were asked to complete the process of distribution of the land by December end, the Revenue Minister maintained.
The ministers incharge and other leaders of the districts will take part in the land distribution program, he said. He also said that the officials concerned were directed to make all arrangements for the same and ensure that the land be given to genuine people and beneficiaries. (NSS)
