Noida, January 02: The credit war for Aamir Khan-starrer latest blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’ turned ugly on Friday when producer director Vidhu Vinod Chopra lost his cool and outburst over media persons during a press conference.
During a press conference, when a reporter asked him whether the story of ‘3 Idiots’ has been copied with author Chetan Bhagat’s best seller ‘Five Point Someone’, the producer lost his cool and asked the reporter to shut up.
He threw a question on reporter, “have you seen the film or read the book Five Point Someone?”
However, the producer, later apologized to media person and said, “I am sorry, what I did was wrong.”
Chetan Bhagat in his blog claimed that the film has copied the 70 percent of story from his book.
Reacting on Bhagat’s claim, Vidhu Vinod Chopra said that he was upset for director Rajkumar Hirani and scriptwriter Abhijit Joshi.
“The claim was just for publicity as I have paid him just before the release of film.”
The Entire ‘3 Idiots’ unit, including Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, Rajkumar Jorani and Chopra were present during media event.
