UP: Stalker cuts off hand of 15-year-old schoolgirl with sword after she refused to go out with him

New Delhi: In a horrific incident, a stalker cuts off the hand of a 15-year-old schoolgirl with a sword.

This attack took place in broad daylight at the Lakhimpur Kheri market, Uttar Pradesh. When the incident took place, she was shopping with her younger brother.

According to the news published in Daily Mail, after the attack, the girl was rushed to a private hospital. Doctors at the hospital are putting all their efforts to stitch her dismembered hand back on.

It is also reported that Vinod Chaurasia (19) who was allegedly stalking the girl for the past few months, reportedly attacked her.

On Wednesday, when Vinod, an employee at a welding workshop found the girl shopping with her younger brother tried to convince her to go out with him. However, when she rejected his proposal, he cut off her hand with the sword. Crowd overpowered him and handed over to police.

Speaking about the attack, a senior police officer said that the girl is undergoing treatment and her condition is still critical.

Police is waiting to record the statement of the girl which is only possible after her condition improves.

Despite making stalking a serious offense after 2012 gang-rape, the cases of stalking are increasing day-by-day in the country.

In 2015, out of 6,238 complaints of stalking registered, 519 were from UP and 1,123 from New Delhi, Daily mail reported.
