SRINAGAR: A heartwarming video of Sikh men and photograph of Muslim men risking their lives during flash floods shows the spirit of Kashmiriyat.
Both the communities sets an example of communal harmony after they save holy items from mosque and elderly Sikh man during flash floods on last Tuesday afternoon at a Tyal village in Kashmir.
In the video footage which is going viral on social media, men wearing turban can be seen lending a helping hands to the Muslim neighbours in Nagbal in evacuating religious books and sacred items hit by the flash floods.

The footage was shared by Salman Nizami, a senior Congress leader in Kashmir has been making the rounds on social media.

On the same day, youths from Muslim community too did a commendable job by rescuing an elderly Sikh man from flash floods.
Janak Singh, a retired government employee got stranded in the centre of the stream after a cloud burst triggered flash floods, reported Kashmir Observer.
The elderly man was carefully escorted to safety by two Muslims.
A photograph of Muslim youths risking their lives to help rescued Janak Singh is also shared on social media after one Twitter user asked “Are there any stories of Muslims risking their lives to help other people?”

Both incidents happened at a Tyal, a village which is considered the most volatile area in a militancy hotbed in J&K.
