Patna: A video which featured policemen partying with local criminals, led to suspension of them in Saharsa district in Bihar.
The video clip which went viral on social media purportedly showing them having dinner and drinks with an accused who was involved in a land dispute.
SP said that ,”Some cops in uniform were allegedly joined by criminals at a dinner in Hotel Kosi Alankar on Wednesday,” adding SDPO Biswas was not visible in the video telecast by a local TV channel, but reports said he too allegedly attended the party.
Surprisingly, the trio in their uniform attended the party in an upscale hotel in Purab Bazaar of Saharsa town.
Deputy Superintendent of police Subodh Kumar Biswas said he had no knowledge about the objectionable activities of his subordinates.
Official police said that, “We got to know about their activities through video clips shown on the social media on Thursday morning only.”
However the DSP said that action would be taken if the trio found guilty.
