Jerusalem: Israeli forces killed a Palestinian teen during a confrontation in the occupied West Bank. The victim identified as 17-year-old Qusay Hussein Umour had been hit by bullets in the chest at least three times.
According to the sources, violence erupted on Monday in the West Bank village of Tuqu, south of Bethlehem in which Palestinian hurled stones at security forces, who responded by firing Ruger rifles.
The incident filmed by a Palestinian journalist Hisham Abu Sharqah showed Qusay’s motionless body, lying in a field of olive trees.
The video then shows Israeli soldiers dragging the bullet-ridden body of Qusay so aggressively to their armored vehicle and detained him for an unspecified period of time.
He was handed over to the health organization for medical treatment after he succumbed to his injuries. Doctors who examined the teenager’s body counted six bullet holes in his upper body and lower extremities.
Palestinians expressed anger at the manner in which he was treated by Israeli servicemen.
Since October 2015, 250 Palestinians, 40 Israelis, two Americans, a Jordanian, an Eritrean and a Sudanese have been killed.
Most of the Palestinians killed were carrying out knife, gun or car-ramming attacks, according to Israeli authorities, with others killed during protests, in clashes or air raids on Gaza.
