Jeddah: US President, Donald Trump when arrived in Saudi Arabia, was first served with traditional coffee at the airport of Riyadh.
King Salman not only had a cup of coffee with Donald Trump but also taught him the traditional technique of instructing a server to stop pouring.
In the video, Saudi king can be seen shaking his cup, a typically Saudi technique to indicate that you don’t need more coffee.
In the Saudi tradition, servers will continue to serve the coffee until the drinker asks to stop by shaking his/her cup.
It may be noted that the traditional Saudi coffee is stronger than that of American. Saudi coffee is drunk in a small cup without milk and sugar.
