Adilabad: Not more than a week after the Infosys techie was hacked to death in broad daylight in Nungambakkam railway station in Chennai, a young girl from Bhainsa in Adilabad district of Telangana was brutally murdered by a person named M. Mahesh for allegedly rejecting his marriage proposal. Mahesh was caught by the public and handed over to the police. According to police, the girl Sandhya was in a relationship with Mahesh, who was her neighbor, about one-and-a-half years ago. As Sandhya’s mother came to know about their affair, she decided to get her married. In January this year, Sandhya’s mother fixed her marriage with another person. At the time of engagement, Mahesh entered the the house and disrupted the function declaring that he won’t allow the marriage. As the engagement got cancelled, Sandhya’s family members lodged a complaint with the Bhainsa Police. Though the two families decided to forget the past, Mahesh was reportedly pestering Sandhya to marry him. Sandhya, however, turned down his proposal and started avoiding him following which Mahesh decided to kill her.
