Video: Hotel staff dancing after SC legalizes homosexuality

New Delhi: The LGBTQ community broke into tears after the top court gave the much awaited historic verdict on Section 377 striking down the 158-years-old law, decriminalising homosexuality in India.

The verdict was delivered today by the five-Judges bench headed by CJI, who observed that only a part of Section 377 is struck down while the rest still remains in force.

One such celebration was witnessed at Delhi’s The Lalit hotel, DC reported.

The Hotel staff broke into a dance routine after the top court legalised homosexuality bringing huge joy to LGBTQ community members since one of the lead petitioners in Section 377 was executive director of Lalit group of Hotels Mr Keshav Suri.

Mr Suri happy with the court’s verdict said: “All the lawyers and judges who have worked on this are the people to be interviewed and thanked. I am a nobody but they are the people to be thanked. It is a massive time to celebrate.”
