China: In a video which went viral, hotel staff can be seen cleaning drinking cups and toilets with the same towels. These practices are reportedly being followed in more than 100 five-star hotels in China.
According to the report published in South China Morning Post, a whistle bowler released this video on Wednesday. He claimed that he had spent nights in 147 five-star hotels in various provinces of China. He also claimed that the video was shot using a secret camera.
In the video (Click here to watch video), staffs at the hotels in China can be seen cleaning drinking cups and toilets with the same towels. These hotels are located in various provinces of China.
After the video went viral, Shangri-La Hotel in Fuzhou said that the procedure followed in the video is unhygienic and it violates the hotel’s hygienic standards. Meanwhile, Waldorf Astoria in Shanghai and Sheraton in Guiyang tendered an apology, The Sun reported.
