Time and again, people in India have proved their credentials in spreading communal harmony. One such example can be seen in India’s western city of Ahmedabad where Hindus and Muslims have for decades been praying at the tomb of a sufi saint. Shah e Alam had made deep influence on the society and tales about his miracles are still talked about. What matters the most is that people still follow his message of peace and harmony. Hundreds of devotees gather in the compound. The environment gets charged with the soulful qwalli’s. Martial skills are also performed here. Here, people do not discriminate on the basis of religion, and wish to spread the message of oneness through their friendship and love for each other.
