Srinagar: Curfew was imposed in the Kashmir Valley in view of the Friday prayers congregation as the separatists have decided to extend the shutdown. Armed police and paramilitary soldiers in riot gear fanned out across all towns and villages, including Srinagar. No major clash was reported on Thursday from anywhere in Kashmir where uneasy calm prevailed since last Saturday after killing of Burhan Wani and two of his associated in an encounter with security forces.
