(Siasat News) CM of A.P. Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy inaugurated the system of Mandal level video conferencing. It has now become possible to reach Mandal level officials through high definition video conferencing system. A.P. is the first state to introduce this system. “Meseva” has transacted a business more than Rs. 3 crore. Arrangement have been made to offer 225 services through Meseva system.
Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy told that India Today Magazine has rated A.P. as the best state in providing Public Services through “E-Governance”. Video conferencing system upto District Head Quarters level was started in2000. With the introduction of the new system 1126 mandals of 23 Districts will be covered. He further told that through this system it will be possible to review flood, drought and other calamites at Mandal level. It will also be helpful in reviewing welfare programmes and E-Governance project. Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy informed that on 4th November 2011. He had started Meseva program from Chittoor District. In view of the popularity of Meseva program more public services were brought under its jurisdiction. In 2011 there were 440 Meseva centres but now these centres have increased to 7000. These centres have been providing jobs to 12000 workers. Meseva centres offers Revenue, Registration, Municipality, Civil Supplies, Police, Electricity, Transport, Education, Agriculture, Labour, Mines, Aadhar Card, Elections, Industries, Commercial Tax, IT, Social Welfare, School Education, Health Care and other services.
CM applauded the efforts of the staff and officials of Information Technology Dept. for completing the task of modern video conferencing system within a record time. Present on this occasion were Minister of I.T. Mr. P. Laxmaiah, Secretary Mr. Sanjay Jaju and other officials.
