New Delhi: Yashwant Sinha, former Minister of Finance and Minister of External Affairs while talking to the editorial director, Sanjay Pungalia of “The Quint” said that those who claim ‘Ultranationalists’ are biggest ‘Desh Drohis’. He further coined the term ‘Supari Journalism’.
During the conversation, Sinha also shared his views on the current political and economic affairs in the country.
Talking on ‘Supari Journalism’, he said that news channels pay ultranationalists to come and shout on the screen. He also commented on the situation in Kashmir and said that the solution of Kashmir cannot be resolved by military.
Speaking on GST, he said that Finance Minister only kept revenue in mind while deciding slab. He gave an example of gold and notebook which are kept in 3% and 18% slab of GST respectively.
On the visit of PM to Israel, he said that there is a need to have a balance between Israel and Palestine as bending toward one will risk the balance.
