Valencia: German-born Arsenal signing Shkodran Mustafi refused to speak to the media with a sponsor’s beer bottle placed in his eyesight during a press conference.
Mustafi, a devout Muslim born to Albania parents sat down for press conference at Valencia’s Paterna training ground was visibly irked by the presence of an Estrella beer – provided by the club’s sponsorship deal.
In respect of his religious beliefs, Mustafi asks Valencia chief repeatedly to shift the alcoholic beverage before a compromise is reached.
24-year-old defender couldn’t hold back displaying his frustration throughout the conference.
