One person has been detained here in connection with the alleged murder of gangster Vicky Tyagi here, police said on Wednesday.
Singh was detained yesterday, police said.
Singh, who was being cross-examined in court as a witness at the time of Tyagi’s murder, was a complainant in Barkali killing case in which eight persons of a family were killed. Tyagi was one of the accused in the case.
Meanwhile, the mother of the deceased, Prabha Tyagi, has demanded probe by a higher agency saying the victim’s family does not have confidence in the local police.
Three police officials including DSP (Special Task Force), SHO (Titawi) and a constable were among the 10 people named by her in the FIR.
The juvenile shooter was arrested on the spot after he shot dead Vicky Tyagi in the court room during the hearing of Barkali murder case, on February 16.
