Hyderabad, January 08: The State government today relieved Osmania University vice-chancellor T Tirupati Rao as in-charge vice-Chancellor of Kakatiya and Telangana Universities. He will be replaced by Palamuru University vice-chancellor V Gopal Reddy until further orders.
Similarly, Gopal Reddy has been relieved as in-charge vice-chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University and will be replaced by Tirupati Rao until further orders.
The posts of the vice-chancellor for Kakatiya University at Warangal, Telangana University at Nizamabad and Mahatma Gandhi University at Nalgonda have been lying vacant since the term of the former VCs ended. The State government has already issued a notification to fill these posts. It is learnt that it would take at least another month for filling up these posts and hence the temporary arrangement.
