Vicaruddin gets Arab League Award

Hyderabad: Arab League presented the prestigious award to Mr. Syed Vicaruddin, Chairman of Indo-Arab League and Editor of Rahnuma-e-Deccan Urdu Daily on the occasion of its 73rd Foundation Day on 3rd April in a function held at the Embassy of Oman, New Delhi in recognition of his services for the cause of Palestine.

He is the first Indian who has been given this award. The award was presented to him by Saudi Ambassador and Minister of State for External Affairs, Mr. M.J. Akbar.

Saudi Ambassador, Mr. Al Saati told that the services of Mr. Syed Vicaruddin in promoting the relations of India and Arab world are laudable.

Ms. Aliya Ghanim, Chief of Arab League Mission introduced Mr. Syed Vicaruddin to the audience.

Present on this occasion were the ambassadors of UAE, Bahrain, Sudan, Somalia, Qatar, Algiers, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and many African countries.

Dr. K. Keshav Rao, Rajya Sabha MP and General of TRS was also present in the function.
