VHR demands recall of Governor

Hyderabad: Congress senior leader V Hanumatha Rao on Thursday upped the ante against AP, TS Governor ESL Narsimhan saying that the latter was misusing his post. He demanded the Centre to immediately recall him.

Speaking to media persons here, the Congress leader said that the Governor had termed RTI activists as mafia. It may be recalled that the Governor had termed RTI activists as mafia during a lecture at the SVP National Police Academy in Hyderabad last week. “How can the Governor call RTI Act a tool of mafia?” he lashed out at the Governor. It seems that the Governor is tilting towards the TRS Government. It is better for him to wear the pink kanduva (TRS party shawl). The Governor is of all praise to the KCR government irrespective of seeking that as to how many promises made by TRS were fulfilled, he said.

Rather than questioning the government on unfulfilled promises, the Governor is praising the state government, the Congress leader said.

VHR had also in the past also criticized Narasimhan saying that the Governor was spending more time in visiting temples than focusing on his duties and had sought his ouster from the Constitutional post. (INN)
