Demanding the government to order CBI inquiry into ‘note for vote’ episode, the Congress Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao has alleged that the main accused was Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in Revanth Reddy episode.
Speaking to the media at the Assembly premises here on Wednesday, VH asked the government to initiate action against Chandrababu Naidu, and said that the government did not tap phones, but the Anti- Corruption Bureau (ACB) recorded phone conversation following the complaint of nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson. Stating that Chandrababu’s voice was recorded, VH asked him as to why he was not saying that he did not speak to Stephenson. He questioned Chandrababu as to what he will do by deploying AP Police Battalion in Hyderabad.
The law will be applicable to Chief Minister also, he said and questioned whether Andhra people faced any problem in Hyderabad for the last one year. Referring to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Minister’s arrest in Delhi, VH questioned the government as to why it is delaying in regard to Chandrababu; why the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not initiating steps against Chandrababu Naidu; and why Narendra Modi, who assured the nation that he will bring back black money from foreign countries, is not responding on the black money seized inside the nation”.
Alleging that some news channels were acting in a manner to create differences between Telangana and Andhra people, VH said that the same channels were transmitting falsehood news by showing Chandrababu’s mistake as small one and phone tapping as a big one. He also asked Chandrababu to tell as to where from he got black money to purchase MLAs. (NSS)
