VHP’s Dharam Sabha was a flop show

Lucknow: Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s (VHP) Dharma Sabha was a flop show in Ayodhya. A very less number of Ram bhakts than expected turned up. The claims by VHP and RSS that lakhs of Ram Bhakts will gather at Ayodhya proved hollow. Not even 1 lakh people gathered at the programme. According to police sources, 70 to 75 thousand people attended the programme, while 70 thousand security personnel were deployed in the area.

People by not attending the programme proved that issues like rising prices, unemployment etc. are more important to them than Ram temple.

However, not only residents of Ayodhya but people of the entire country heaved a sigh of relief after the peaceful conduct of the Dharam Sabha; though the general public had to face a lot of difficulties because of tight security arrangements.

Sadhus and saints of nearly 127 communities and VHP officials openly challenged Muslims and the judiciary and in a way patted Modi and Yogi governments. Vice president of VHP Champat Rai said we want temple and only temple.
