Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas which is a high level committee for taking decisions about the construction of the proposed Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is meeting today to explore the possibilities of constructing Ram Mandir.
VHP has given time to NDA to stabilize its Govt. Now that one year is over and BJP has absolute majority in Parliament, it can enact a law in the parliament for the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Mr. Ashok Singhal, former International President of VHP and his successor Mr. Pravin Togadia have arrived in Ayodhya to participate in the meeting.
Mr. Sharad Sharma, Media Coordinator of VHP told that a decision would be taken to constitute a delegation to meet Mr. Modi to explore the possibilities of construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He informed that the stones for the said temple have already been carved at Maniram Chavni.
District administration has made elaborate security arrangement in Ayodhya and Faizabad.
BJP leaders have been evading the commitment Ram Madir under the pretext that they cannot pass a bill in Parliament as they don’t have majority in Rajya Sabha. It is interesting to note VHP and RSS have the Ram mandir issue after keeping quiet for a year.
Addressing a gathering at Nagpur last month, on the occasion of the first anniversary of Modi Govt. Mr. Arun Kumar a functionary of RSS told that BJP Govt. should fulfill its election promises made to the people for construction of Ram Mandir and cancellation of Article 370 of the constitution of India which makes a special provision for Kashmir.
Mr. Ashok Singhal had made an appeal to the Muslims last week to hand over the disputed lands in Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura to Hindu community for the construction of temples. VHP’s powerful outfit Margdarshak Mandal in a meeting held at Haridwar last month stressed the Govt. to remove hurdles in the way of the construction of Ram Temple. It rejected the compromising formula which suggests the construction of a temple as well as a mosque at the disputed site.
VHP is of the opinion that it cannot allow any place of worship for Muslims to come up in the vast premises which has hundreds of Hindu temples. It may be noted that the title suit to decide the ownership of the disputed land is pending before the Supreme Court of India.
